Living Life - a blog I wrote but don't remember writing. hmmmm

Hello!!! Happy hump day to you!!! I am just taking my 30 min lunch break and thought I would just shoot out a random blog for today.

Last night I had a great meeting at the church I will be joining this coming Sunday. It was great to get together with others and discuss how to form life groups for this smaller scale church. You see I was attending a church for the past 7 years that now consists of approximately 20,000 members (or partners as they call them). When I first started to attend that church there were roughly 2,000. I actually grew up in a much smaller church - maybe 500+ members but on a given Sunday only about 200 or less would show up.
Over the last two years as the church I attended grew more and more my comfort level started bottoming out! I felt lost and disconnected from the staff (notice I call them staff and not even pastors) they seemed untouchable... even emails needed to be fielded through secretaries or assistants. Being single and having no children made my life seem like a back burner option to the church.

Don't get me wrong that church gives awesome messages, great (professional style) music, and for children of all ages it is awesome to learn about Jesus there. But for single, never been married, over 40, with no kids ever... it was disquieting to my soul. So, in January I decided to do something about it... I decided for my self and soul to seek out a church that can feed me not because I am single, over 40, and childless, but because I am seeking more, wanting more, and needing more as far as interaction, community, fellowship, and just plain compassion on a personal level. Well I found it!!

I was actually at this church about three years ago when I attended a Financial Peace University class.

Casually Blending

Hello!!! Thanks for checking out my BLOG!!!

I have a dream... everyone does. Mine is not that much different from any other American in the sense that I want to retire healthy, wealthy, and wise. Well so far I still have my health and I worked on the wise now I am working towards the wealthy part!  Lately I have been listening to many Pod-casts that have sparked my creative juices and I thought...hmmm...I have eight years (crossing fingers to get a contract that will take me that far) left till I retire in 2020 but I will still be too young to receive my SSI! So... I need to pursue another career so that I can leave my current employer on the day I hit 30 years with them! I never really wanted to work for the company I currently do, however, I have to tell you I am thankful for the job that I have and the years that I have had it. I also received while working full time three degrees. It did take me a span of 21 years and changing majors 4 or 5 times but I did graduate in 2003, 2007 and 2011 with high honors towards a subject that I am very passionate about. While I am still trying to find part time employment as an adjunct professor at local colleges I thought about doing some other type of part time job. Well, before I worked for the company I am with now I was a Disc Jockey.. I do not even think they are called that anymore. Now they use On-Air personalities. So back to that thought that I got while listening to some GREAT Pod-casts.. (Nerdists, Radio Free Burritto, and I cannot forget Click and Clack - Car Talk) I thought why not give it a try. So I looked into some pod-casting information and decided to give it a try.

So, tonight, Friday, after I got home from doing the singles gathering at church called Casual Blend with my friend Krista I decided to download Audacity: Free Audio Editor and created my first ever pod-cast.
It runs about 13 mins and just recaps my evening out. Now all I have to do is figure out how to link it to a format so everyone can hear it.

Thus the reason for me writing a blog tonight about my Pod-cast instead of hearing about my Pod-cast.

I will get it posted as soon as I figure it out!!! I look forward to hearing your feedback and yes, I did say some ums and sound very nervous but I still haven't played with the editing mechanisms.

So once I figure out how to load it up... You will get to hear it!!!

Thanks for reading and have a great night and a pleasant tomorrow!!!
